Years ago when I moved to Tallahassee, I said to [then] Dean Glidden that he and the [College] of Music were among the major reasons I’d moved here—all the terrific music available, free or at such low cost. . . . Over the decades I’ve lived and enjoyed here, there’s been a wealth of music—world renowned artists, the symphony, the Philharmonia, the recitals, the jazz, the opera . . . . How lucky we are to have such a diversity available within a few miles of anywhere in Tallahassee. . . . What a joy it is to live here and listen at FSU!

FSU College of Music offers the best performances in town at Ruby Diamond that rival Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center!

Laura Rogers, Chair, Executive Committee, University Musical Associates

Tallahassee is fortunate to have the quality of performances produced by FSU students and faculty. They compare very favorably with performances by professional musicians in major cities and venues. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on some great music!
